Implementing professional learning solutions centered on student outcomes through differentiated learning experiences and researched-backed pedagogy.
BetterLesson’s learning solutions include:
- BetterLesson Coaching: 1:1 job-embedded, virtual coaching, offers a flexible, personalized experience that addresses educators’ individual needs. Coaching provides educators of all levels, new teachers through veteran leaders, with the opportunity to connect in a safe and confidential environment with a trusted expert to address the most pressing challenges facing their schools and students.Scalable and actionable, coaching for teachers and leaders that helps create student-centered classrooms utilizing new learning strategies and teaching practices inaction that results in positive learning environments.
- BL Learning Walks allow leaders to monitor progress toward target outcomes, acknowledge and celebrate shifts in practice while identifying areas to prioritize targeted support for continuous professional learning. They provide focused, non-evaluative frameworks to support school leaders in identifying strengths and surface areas of opportunity within a specific topic in an ongoing cycle of professional learning.
- BetterLesson Workshops connect a cohort of educators, either virtually or in-person, reinforce key pedagogical theories, introduce new strategies for instructional practice, help integrate new curricula and bring new learning models to implement in their classrooms.
Setting Expectations
To ensure the impact of our support, we expect schools to:
- Participate in a 30 minute virtual Coach Launching session via Zoom – Dates/times to be determined
- Participate in Differentiation workshop (see below) – 2 hours online or 5 hours in person; location TBD
- Attend 30 minute virtual coaching sessions every two weeks for 8 sessions over a 5 month period. Additional sessions may be available upon completion
- Review the workspace your BetterLesson coach will design with you
To ensure the impact of our support, we expect administrators to:
- Select a Focus Area from the BetterLesson Focus Areas
- Provide a roster of participants which includes their emails, grade and subject level or admin responsibilities
- Ensure successful implementation and communication with BetterLesson Support team and their own educators of the guidelines which consist of:
- Participating in a 30 minute virtual Coach Launching session via Zoom – Dates/times to be determined
- Participating in Differentiation workshop (see below) – 2 hours online or 5 hours in person; location TBD
- Attending 30 minute virtual coaching sessions every two weeks for 8 sessions over a 5 month period
