Areas We Address
A day school would engage with us if they are looking to:
- Provide targeted professional development for individual teachers, focusing on values-based education
- Enhance their extra-curricular programs and activities (Shabbatonim, school-wide events etc.)
- Look strategically at their school’s educational vision and purpose
Expected Outcomes
Working with us, a school should expect to achieve:
- Investment in specific talented or high-potential teachers who are looking for their own professional advancement, particularly focused on experiential education and stronger professional identity
- Sharpened educational focus, including innovative ideas for expanding gateways into Jewish life and experience, using the 18 Dimensions of Jewish Life framework
Key Activities
We help schools achieve their goals by implementing the following:
- Professional development programs (Senior Educators Cohort and others) for individual educators
- Curriculum/program development on specific topics (usually related to Jewish values)
- Educational visioning using the 18×18: 18 Dimensions of Jewish Life framework
Setting Expectations
To ensure the impact of our support, we expect schools and administrators to:
- Identify the teachers who need professional development in this area and who are committed to deep professional growth
- Support the teachers on their journey, including by paying for the programs and clearing time for them to participate
